Software Engineer II – current

  • Improving Slack and deployment notification infrastructure processing ~1M notifications/day, redesigning notification routing and feed experiences to help engineers receive more relevant, timely notifications for internal infrastructure changes.
  • Led the migration and maintenance of PostgreSQL and Aurora PostgreSQL databases from supporting notification infrastructure, improving reliability and scalability of high-volume notification workflows, ensuring observability and no downtime.
  • Ensuring team is up to date and running chaos gamedays for the teams to test failure seniors with
  • Collaborating weekly with Datadog product designers through a UX design program to prototype and refine internal engineering tools, incorporating feedback from [X]+ engineers/users.

Software Engineer –

  • Shipped and launched Notification Routing, an internal notification platform used to manage and route ~1M notifications/day, enabling engineers to customize notifications across developer workflows including GitHub and DevFlow, making sure that they can opt in and out of different types of notifications. Onboarded over 20 client teams to using routing for their internal notification.
  • Shipped and launched the Cordons UI, enabling incident commanders to block infrastructure changes and deployments during biannual code freezes and active incidents; conducted [X]+ user interviews and partnered with designers to streamline the workflow.
  • Migrated [X]+ services/queries to the OrchPlatform API to support the migration of Runtime Management Plane infrastructure from commercial to FedRAMP environments, reducing dependency on legacy APIs and enabling government-cloud deployment.
  • Deployments UI migration to use deprecated services for migration to support rmp migration

Software Engineer Intern –

  • Conceptualized and implemented time zone user settings and fuzzy search in DD Software Delivery Platform, facilitating engineers with enhanced customization options and seamless navigation, improving user convenience and satisfaction.
  • Utilized Datadog Real User Monitoring tool to gain insight on user interaction and iteratively refine and improve features.
  • Worked on frontend UI bug fixes to ensure smooth functionality and address user-reported issues promptly.

Mobile App Developer –

  • Envisioned and implemented the Sections page for Michigan Daily app utilizing React Native and JavaScript.
  • Conducted beta and user testing interviews to thoroughly analyze user interaction and recommend feature improvements.

  • Facilitated the transition of Android Platform’s internal design library to the Chirp Design System used at Chewy by developing an internal Android app with standardized design tokens from the Chirp library for frontend developers.
  • Migrated 30+ typography styles, color styles, and button components from Figma library into the Chirp internal app.
  • Troubleshot and fixed 5 bugs on Pet Welfare section to maintain software functionality and enhance user experience.
